A Moscow Mule is one of my favorite alcoholic drinks to serve when we have company! It’s so easy to make, and if you follow this recipe people will think you are a cocktail pro! (Alternatively if you’re looking for a non alcoholic cocktail idea check out our sparkling limeade recipe!)

To make 2 Moscow mule drinks you’ll need the following:

  • 1 Lime
  • 6-8 muddled mint leaves
  • 4 oz Vodka of choice
  • Ice (we love using these ice molds that give you a large ball of ice which looks really cool, but also melts slower than having several regular ice cubes)
  • 1 bottle or can of Ginger beer- not ginger soda!

We love a good deal, who doesn’t? Much of the time we will scout out discount stores like grocery outlet, and that is where we discovered Cock-n-Bull brand ginger beer; at a discount I might add! Before buying them from a BevMo or Safeway, I highly suggest checking out your nearest discount store. You never know the treasure you’ll stumble upon. And of course if the stores near by don’t have the Cock-n-bull brand you can always have them hand delivered to your place by using this link here.

This brand of ginger beer is very potent with a strong ginger flavor. In my opinion, it’s the key ingredient to elevating your Moscow Mules!
If strong flavor is not your thing I recommended trying the gosling brand. It’s still good and not as strong. Both brands offer a sugar free option if you are counting calories and watching the carbs.

  • Copper mug -the iconic cup of Moscow mules! Serve your drinks in these and your guests will really think you know what you’re doing!

**here is a link to purchase some if you don’t already own a few**

No pressure- your Moscow Mule will taste just as fancy in any glass cup.

Directions:

  • In a copper mug or drinking glass add
  • 3-4 Muddled mint leaves (muddled just means it’s been gently mashed to more easily release its flavor into your drink)
  • Ice
  • 2 oz Vodka per cup (or however much you prefer “cause that’s yo business”)
  • Juice from 1/2 a lime per cup
  • 1/2 Can or bottle of ginger beer (remember ginger beer, not soda!)
  • Give everything a quick stir
  • Serve & Enjoy!
