This recipe is a delicious low carb alternative to the traditional parfait recipe introduced to me by a good friend of mine. It’s the ideal way to start your day or enjoy a guilt-free treat. So, whether you’re following a low-carb lifestyle or just looking for a delicious and satisfying snack, this parfait is your new go-to. It calls for full fat, probiotic rich, plain, Greek yogurt. A great snack to support digestive health and its free of any harmful additives and unnecessary sugars found in flavored yogurts. Although this recipe includes natural local honey, you can add as little or as much as you’d like. Unlike the sugary additives of flavored yogurt, honey offers its own variety of antibacterial and antiviral benefits. Ingredients:
- 1 cup Whole milk/full fat plain Greek yogurt
- Natural Honey to taste (locally sourced is best)
- 1/2 Teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 3 sliced strawberries* optional
Directions:
- Scoop yogurt into a small bowl or cup, I love these yogurt jars with lids they make meal prep so easy and cute! And for this recipe, since you aren’t using granola that can get soggy, you can even fully prepare your parfaits in advance
- Drizzle honey until your desired sweetness and stir
- Sprinkle cinnamon on top
