Welcome back! Or hello and welcome if it’s your first time visiting. Today, I’m thrilled to share a green bean side dish recipe that’s so incredible, it could easily steal the spotlight as the main dish. This isn’t your average side—it’s “slap yo’ mama” good! Packed with bacon, potatoes and cooked to perfection, these green beans will have everyone at the table raving. I always get compliments on this dish because each bite is super flavorful with a little spicy kick to it. This recipe is quick and so easy to prepare. Plus it’s pretty inexpensive to make too. I get all of my ingredients from our local Walmart.
Noteworthy: So much of the flavor comes from the bacon in this recipe so if you aren’t a fan of bacon or need to cut down on fatty meats, I would suggest cutting down the bacon portion and adding a splash of olive oil. I don’t recommend replacing the bacon with turkey bacon or a tofu bacon substitute.
Let’s get cooking and bring some serious goodness to your table!
